Meetings: Spring 2007 The History Club meets on every other Monday at 3:00 in 106 Schumacher Hall. Meeting Dates: Feb 12, March 5, March 19, April 9, April 23, May 7 These short meetings are held to organize and discuss future events, elect new officers when necessary and get to know other people who are interested in history. It is ok if you cannot come to our meetings; our secrectary sends out the meeting notes after every meeting.

LFree Public Lecture and Discussion on the Holocaust: March 19th, 7:00 pm Morris Hall: Craven Lounge SUNY College at OneontaBy Dr. Barry Trachtenberg, SUNY Albany, Professor of Judaic Studies
Dr. Barry Trachtenberg (SUNY Albany) will
discuss the development of the Algemeyne Entsiklopedia, a
Yiddish-language encyclopedia that was begun in Berlin, Germany in
the early 1930s, just as the Nazis came to power. The Nazi takeover
of Germany and later of Europe forced the editors to emigrate to
Paris and later to New York.
