Review Process

(What happens after I submit my paper?)

To ensure fairness, all papers are subject to blind review by a minimum of three students and one professor. None of the people who review your paper will be given any information concerning your identity (name, gender, institution, field of study, etc.). Each reviewer will independently rate your paper on a scale of 1 to 5 (ranging from "definitely accept this one" to "no way"). Criteria include, but are not necessarily limited to the following: Supplemental reviews are conducted for any papers where the initial reviewers differ substantially in their assessments or, for any reason, feel a lack of certitude concerning their recommendation.  We will tally results, decide remaining borderline cases, and notify students concerning acceptance or rejection by approximately the first week of March.

Once we have identified the papers to be accepted for the conference, we begin creating the program. This involves grouping papers into sessions based on common themes, selecting students to serve as discussants, etc.
