Welcome to Oneonta United University Professions Chapter Web Page

The College at Oneonta is a multi-purpose college of the liberal arts and sciences. The members of this union have a proud tradition of serving 5, 800 full time, part time and graduate students as well as their contributing to their surrounding community.  We have 235 part time and adjunct lecturers, 214 Full time -Assistant -Associate and  Full Professors, and 235 Professionals and Librarians, as well as a large active retired contingent. Other unions that represent the campus are: CSEA, PEF and Counsel 82.

Our Members have contributed to their community  in many ways.  Many of our members serve on several local advisory boards, build houses for Habitat for Humanity, serve on both city and town common counsel / boards, coach a variety of youth sports in a variety of age groups, and volunteer for community fund raisers, soup kitchens and community wellness programs .  They believe in supporting our community, our local schools, and local merchants.

Issues we are currently working with Management with on campus:
-Training Professionals on how to apply for a salary increase.
-Addressing the UUP survey on Faculty Workload
-Compensation Time for Professionals working past their professional obligation.
-Working on our holiday- Labor Day
